FAQ
What is the ASCAP Experience?
The ASCAP Experience is a full day of workshops, networking and inspiration to help you achieve your goals and navigate the future of music. 2026 marks the 19th year we've brought our music community together at this one-of-a-kind event. It's brought to you by ASCAP, where creators come first.
When and where is the next ASCAP Experience?
The ASCAP Experience will take place in Los Angeles on February 12, 2026. Our venue is the Skirball Cultural Center.
Who can attend the ASCAP Experience?
The ASCAP Experience is open to music creators of all kinds — songwriters, composers, producers and performers — and at every stage of their careers. You don't have to be an ASCAP member to attend.
FYI, you can join ASCAP for free. If you’re an active songwriter or composer and you aren’t already a member of another performing rights organization, you are eligible to join ASCAP today. It's free to join ASCAP for writers, or anyone joining as a writer & publisher at the same time.
How do I get tickets for the ASCAP Experience?
Tickets are now SOLD OUT. Make sure to join our email list and follow us @ascap on social media to be the first to know about ASCAP Experience updates and opportunities for next year.
Will I be able to buy a ticket the day of the event?
No, we are completely sold out.
What do I need to bring with me to check-in on the day of the event?
You will need to present a valid photo ID (that matches the name on your ticket) along with your unique QR code at check-in. We will send you the QR code via email soon after you purchase your ticket. There’s no need to print out the QR code – we can scan it from your phone.
Is this an all ages event?
You must be at least 13 years old to attend the ASCAP Experience. If you are under 18, you will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian with a separate ticket, and your parent/guardian will need to purchase your ticket on your behalf.
Where can I see the schedule?
Visit our Schedule page for a list of our confirmed sessions. Make sure to join our email list and follow us @ascap on social media to be the first to know about ASCAP Experience updates and new programming.
Can I attend the ASCAP Membership Meeting without an ASCAP Experience ticket?
Yes. The ASCAP Membership Meeting (the kickoff event of the ASCAP Experience) is free to attend for all ASCAP members, even if you don't have an Experience ticket. However you must RSVP to the Membership Meeting here if you aren't attending the full-day ASCAP Experience. If you're an Experience ticketholder, you are already on the list for the Membership Meeting and you do not need to RSVP.
Will there be opportunities to get feedback on my music?
Yes! Our Get Heard: Live Song Feedback session is now open for submissions. ASCAP Experience ticket holders can submit their songs for a chance to receive a constructive critique from hit writer-producers Darrell Brown & Theron “Neff-U” Feemster, live and onstage. We will send out a link to the submission form to all registered attendees.
Can I ask the panelists a question?
Select sessions will include a Q&A portion, at the panelists’ discretion.
Will this year’s panels be streamed?
The ASCAP Experience 2026 is designed as an in-person event and we want to make it something special for our attendees. We will not be live-streaming any of the sessions, though we plan to make select sessions available for on-demand viewing, after the event.
Where do I park?
Per the Skirball: “During normal business hours, visitor parking is FREE at the Skirball. Parking is available in the Skirball’s North Parking garage, located underground at the north end of the Skirball's main driveway, approximately 150 yards north of our Main Entrance. Parking is also available in the East Parking garage, located across Sepulveda Blvd.”
Please note that parking at the Skirball is on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to rideshare in case the lot is full. The Skirball recommends that the driver “turn into the Skirball campus on the north side, at Herscher Way, proceed down the driveway approximately 150 yards, and drop you off by the front steps at our Main Entrance. For the safety of you and others, please make sure your driver does not drop you off on Sepulveda Blvd.”
Visit the Skirball website for more info on parking & directions.
I bought a ticket and now I can’t go. What’s your refund/cancellation policy?
Per our Terms & Conditions, all tickets to the ASCAP Experience are final and we do not offer refunds. Reach out to experience@ascap.com if you have any questions about your situation.
I have a disability and will need to be accompanied by someone. Can I still attend?
Absolutely! The Skirball is an accessible venue. Send us an email at experience@ascap.com and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
